What is Fear?
First lets start with defining what Fear is...
1. Anxiety and usually a lack of courage or confidence about a situation.
2. FEAR: False Evidence Appearing Real
Let’s first talking about anxiety about the future. What is it that you are scared of? Once you define that… then ask yourself one more time, what is it that you are truly scared of? Below the fear is the root of the fear. For example: if you are scared of another person – maybe it is that you are scared of being hurt, of being killed (or in actuality dying). What is the worst that could happen in an interaction with this other? Is it pain, being uncomfortable? Being taken advantage of? Is it losing what you have? Is it suffering in some way? Is it a lack of something (like a lack of love)?
Let us drill down even further into the fear. Fear is really never anything outside of ourselves. Fear is: False Evidence Appearing Real. It is never really anything outside of ourselves. It is a fear within. So examining this even further: is it that we don’t feel safe, we don’t feel eternal, we don’t feel loved, or we feel a lack in some area of our lives. All that happens outside of us is only a reflection of something internal that is being expressed through our larger part of us (the universe). The WHOLE of who we are.
Pain only exists when we feel disconnected or separation the real us – from God. The word that surfaces when we talk about separation is the word “LACK”. When we decide that we are divine and a part of God (not separate) – we understand that we have the power to change how we are perceiving situations. We have the power to change fear to calm and peace. We have the power to think differently and change our emotions. In our physical bodies and reality – we have control over two things; emotions and thoughts.
We have the power to change momentum in any situation, to recognize what we don’t want and then focus on what we do want. We have the ability to calm our nervous system by mediating or changing focus or perspective. We can realize the perspective we have is either benefiting us or hurting us.
